Western Avenue between Central and Dysart
Microsoft and The Better Block are excited to support the historic community of Old Town Avondale, working with neighbors to temporarily transform Western Avenue and it's sidewalks into a walkable dining and entertainment district. The event will feature a celebration of community by featuring local small businesses, outdoor dining, live music, public art projects, lighting, a beer garden, family activities, vendors, resources, and plenty of room for spending time together. This event will reflect the unique culture of the neighborhood, create conversation, and engage the neighborhood in curating a playful space for the Old Town community to socialize and relax.

With the community leading the charge, The Better Block Foundation and Microsoft are hosting a demonstration event focused on the sidewalks and the people of Old Town Avondale. We hope to see you at one of our many volunteer workshops or catch you in one of the many outdoor dining parklets popping up.
