Customers are limited to purchasing one phone number per tenant for Azure Communication Services through the Phone Numbers SDK or through the Azure Portal. Customers who are interested in a special order (ex. acquiring large quantities of numbers or specific area codes) or if the number acquisition needs to be completed manually, can do so by following the process below. For general information on how to acquire a phone number, see the quickstart here.

For a new number order, you will need to work through the following steps:

1. Download one of the forms below:

   • Number Request Form for United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Denmark
   • Number Request Form for Ireland
   • Number Request Form for Italy
   • Number Request Form for Sweden
   • Number Request Form for Portugal
   • Number Request Form for Austria
   • Number Request Form for France

   • Number Request Form for Switzerland
   • Number Request Form for Belgium
   • Number Request Form for Luxembourg
   • Number Request Form for Slovakia
   • Number Request Form for Netherlands

   • Number Request Form for China, Finland, Hong Kong, Israel, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand

2. Fill in the form and send the filled out form to acstns@microsoft.com. Use "ACS Number Request - CountryName" as part of your subject line

To port your existing telephone numbers over to Azure Communication Services, you need to download the corresponding form below and submit it over to our Service Desk team. The team will then guide you through the process and keep you updated on the port-in order progress.

You will need to work through the following steps:

1. Download one of the forms below:

   • Port In Form for United States and Puerto Rico
   • Port In Form for Canada
   • Port In Form for United Kingdom
   • Port In Form for Sweden
   • Port In Form for Ireland
   • Port In Form for Italy

2. Fill in the form.

3. Send the filled out form to acstns@microsoft.com using "ACS Port Request" as part of your subject line

4. Our Service Desk team will let you know of the next steps and advises you on the port process.

PLEASE NOTE: You need to have an eligible Azure Subscription and Resource to be able to port numbers.

In some countries, releasing a telephone number needs to be done through our Service Desk team. To release the telephone number in these countries, follow the steps below:

1. Send an email with the numbers you need to be released to acstns@microsoft.com. Use "ACS Number Release Request" as part of your subject line

2. Our Service Desk team will let you know once the request is completed.
