Hi. Can I create a title, tweak everything up as I need and then transfer the whole title with all settings to another account so they would "own" it?
Hi. Can I create a title, tweak everything up as I need and then transfer the whole title with all settings to another account so they would "own" it?
There are several approaches, depending on your goals:
1. You could develop on a title in your own studio, then copy the configuration information from it and push that into a new title in a studio owned by the other individual. We have the CLI tool in our GitHub for this, but we'll be releasing a more complete configuration management tool shortly. I'd recommend using that, once it's released. This would be the complete game configuration, with no user accounts.
2. You could develop on a title in your own studio, then request (via the forums, or a ticket if you're in our Pro or Enterprise tier) that it be transferred to a different studio, owned by the other individual. In that case, the title would be moved with all players. Note, however, that the Publisher ID would remain the same - so other titles in your starting studio would still share the same Master Player Account with all the players in that game, if you have the same players.
3. Similar to 2, but that the new owner of the title would ask us to change its Publisher ID to their own. That would mean they lose access to all player accounts created in the title to date, but the title would then be on their Publisher ID, and so using their Master Player Accounts.
4. The simplest thing to do would be for you to create a distinct studio for them, build the title in that, and then just give them that studio by making them the admins.
Thanks for quick answer! In case I select 4th approach, will I be responsible for paying for pro account?
Hello @Brendan I just saw this, is that configuration management tool you mentioned already out or should I use the CLI tool from Github? Thanks.
"Shortly" was overly optimistic in this case. Also, we redesigned the approach for that a couple of times in the interim. What we're planning for now, is a "snapshot" capability that'll be in the Game Manager itself. For now, please continue to use the CLI tool.
