Composite model calculate column group

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a new group on a column which is part of a composite model (with aggregations). The table is in dual storage mode.

I'm getting the following error:

'The feature is not supported yet (Calculate Column).

Is this because the composite model is in preview?

Does anyone know if this feature will be supported?

Thanks

Mike

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi Mike,

I reproduced the same scenario when I applied the Aggregation in the Direct Query tables (queries). As the error message shows, it isn't supported yet. I think it could be that the Aggregation has similar behaviors. The workaround is disabling Aggregation. Since it's under preview, this feature could be supported in the future.

Hi Mike,

How did you create the group? I added a calculated column successfully in the composite model.

Hi Dale,

I've tried by creating a new group (right clicking existing column) or by just adding in a new calcualted column, and i get the same error.

Was your calculated column added to a table which was in import storage mode? Or could you add a column to a direct query / dual storage mode table?

Thanks

Mike
