Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Service Update 21043 Release Notes


Service Update 21043 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 9.2.0 is now available. This article describes the hotfixes and updates that are included in Service Update 21043.

Important

Note: Service Update naming convention has been revised to clarify the link between the version number and Service Update number. For example, Service Update 150 will now correspond to version number 150xx. Occasionally a Service Update will be canceled and all associated fixes will be rolled into a subsequent Service Update. For this reason, Service Update numbers may not always increase incrementally.

Service Update 21043 resolves the following issues:

Repaired Functionality

The following list details issues whose resolutions repair items in Dynamics that are not functioning.

Accessibility

  • The accessibility screen reader did not announce "Required" for required fields within the Customer Service Hub.
  • The keyboard focus indicator was partially obscured on the next page control within the Contacts table.
  • The accessibility screen reader did not announce suggestions when performing searches.

Marketing

  • Email previews were not shown when clicking on the expand symbol with a Marketing app Customer journey.

Platform Services

  • When creating a new server profile and assigning it to a user during an email setup, the status remained in a loading state after selecting the approval option.

Sales

  • Adding users to an Opportunity in Sales Hub did not propagate until after refreshing.

Unified Interface

  • Offline enabled apps were not shown in the App Landing page in Offline Mode.
  • On mobile, when creating a new contact record from a quick create form, the page displayed the top of the record rather than the contact subgrid.
  • The ‘Done’ and ‘Cancel’ buttons were appearing below the pop out when selecting an account for the regarding filed within Activities.
  • When creating an email using a New Email Template type through Advanced Find, the selected template type was not retained.
  • Updating a date within a case via either Business Rules or Event Handlers, was unsuccessful.
  • When creating a new opportunity record, the OpportunitySalesProcess was present on the switch process dialogue within the record.*
  • With the FCB.PcfDatasetGrid enabled, grid controls did not load on dashboards.*
  • When attempts to retrieve Timeline Records failed, the menu loaded continuously instead of displaying an error message.*
  • After selecting a filter-by option on an entity, the lookup field name was no longer visible.
  • Batch edits on large pages with an editable grid with 250 or more rows per page may have caused the browser to be come unresponsive.
  • Dashboards did not load in the dashboard picker on mobile.*
  • When creating an account record with an account to a contact Cross-Entity BPF, the active stage fly out would display the incorrect stage when navigating between the stages.
  • Email activities displayed HTML code instead of truncated text within the activities pane of the timeline.

Error Messages, Exceptions, and Failures

The following list details issues whose resolutions correct actions that produce errors, unhandled exceptions, or system or component failures.

Outlook

  • An error occurred when opening the Dynamics App for Outlook Desktop client for users with the Outlook MSI version.*

Platform Services

  • An error occurred when creating a new Bulk Deletion job within the Data Management settings.*
  • An error occurred when using non-virtual logical attributes in the filter expression for a flow within a solution.*
  • An error occurred when creating an async workflow job when using DataBlobId in async operation record and the FCB.AOBRetrieveAddDataBlobIdColumn was enabled.*

Unified Interface

  • An error occurred when using the Search (Global) function within the Unified Service Desk.*
  • An error occurred when selecting or loading a lookup field value.
  • An error occurred when replying or forwarding an email with a contact that was missing a name (first or last).*
  • An error occurred when adding a note to the timeline, the note description section was not visible and the note did not appear in the timeline.*
  • An error occurred when the FCB.PcfDatasetGrid was enabled an connections were selected from the menu in the related tab.*
  • An error occurred in offline mode when clicking on the Audio and Video icons in the timeline, when those functions were disabled.
  • An error occurred when selecting quick action icons within the Search text box.
