Thank you for the DD doc. Can someone from SIG Storage please put together a graduation recommendation doc to capture the SIGs recommendation as well. Similar to this.

Once that is complete, I'll start a thread for public comment period.

@quinton-hoole @saad-ali @erinaboyd We just provided the support of TiKV operator, which is a Kubernetes Operator that aims to automate the deployment, management, and operational tasks of TiKV clusters (without depending on TiDB). The corresponding part in the proposal and DD doc have been updated. FYI.

If the SIG Storage graduation recommendation doc is final, please add a link here and we can move to the next step: public comment period.

I left some comments on the SIG recommendation doc. But those can be addressed in parallel.

Everything else looks good, but some TOC members have a concern about https://github.com/pingcap/pd being an important TiKV dependency and not part of the TiKV org (part of CNCF).

Liu Tang indicated that the PD library could be migrated to the TiKV project.

Based on the discussion with the TOC, let's go ahead and move the dependency. Once that is complete, we'll kick off the vote again.

Thanks @saad-ali and TOC. We are making preparations for migration, happening 11 AM, UTC+8, August 17, 2020. Already informed the community via website and other social media.
