Welcome to the August 7th Release of Accessibility Insights for Web

Highlights

Needs review test

We have added a new test in FastPass: Needs Review.
Sometimes automated checks identify possible accessibility problems that need to be reviewed and verified by a human; the Needs review test will show instances from a few inconclusive and experimental checks and will provide instructions on how to test if its a failure or not.

This new test is under a preview feature flag that can be accessed by going to the Manage Settings button and selecting Preview features

Renamed test

We have renamed the Text Legibility test to Adaptable Content to convey that some of the requirements under this test are not solely about text, but content in General (#2655)

Bug fixes

  • Changed the text in the issue filing settings to have instructions addressing the user (#3204)
  • updated the name of the 'more actions' button to mention failure instance instead of card (#3149)
  • Improved how the table of test details reflows when resizing the window (#3174)
  • Improved the spacing in the left nav nested buttons (#3152)
  • Fixed a misspelled word in the Bypass blocks requirement info & examples (#3142)
  • updated the text in the Contrast test's requirements (#3148)
