K Raman
Managing Director, Microsoft Malaysia
K Raman, managing director of Microsoft Malaysia, is responsible for overseeing the entire Malaysian subsidiary. His reponsibilities which include driving commercial and consumer products, services and support offerings in the country, as well as leading a staff force of over 270 talented individuals.
Raman is also a member of the Asia Pacific leadership team, and is dedicated to making Microsoft the productivity and platform company in today’s mobile-first, cloud-first world.
With over 25 years of experience in the IT sector, and leadership and management experience spanning across the APAC and ASEAN markets, Raman is an industry veteran who is well recognized and respected by peers.
Prior to joining Microsoft Malaysia, Raman was the regional managing director of Oracle Corporation, overseeing the ASEAN and South Asia Growth Economies, which comprises a portfolio of 17 countries. An accomplished technology veteran, Raman also served in senior leadership roles in Malaysia with EMC and HP – the latter for 15 years.
Raman graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya. Outside of work, Raman enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. His interests also include scuba diving, golf and traveling.
