Dropdown list function did not work in published app

Hi,

I have faced an issue with the dropdown list in the published app.

It was working fine in powerapp studio and after it has published, the dropdown list did not show anything.

Only when i typed something on the search bar, everything resumed normally after.

I have tried deleted my cache, and republished but it did not work.

Please help out thank you!

My Apps also suddenly can not show the list in live mode.

But my other apps  no problem, The list show up.

I'll try to erase/replace the combo and dropdown, its the same result, can not show in live mode.

When I try in studio mode no problems

I disable Explicit Column Selection in advanced Setting and it works. My list is show up

@Ash_ang @Anonymous

We have just completed a hot-fix to restore the previous behaviour when evaluating rules for Form controls and their children after a form is reset or its default mode is changed (new, edit, view).  The issue would most commonly cause list controls (CombooBox, Dropdown, ListBox) to intermittently fail to load data.

Please save your apps(s) and re-published for the changes to take effect.

Studio versions containing the hot-fix are as follows:

  • 3.20053.25 (PROD moderate release ring)
  • 3.20061.28 (PROD US regions)
  • 3.20062.20 (PROD rest of regions)
  • 3.20063.11 (PROD preview regions)

We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Hi @JayMagness ,

Thanks a lot!
Its been a great informative section with you regarding the current Power app technology.
Fortunately, my app started working properly without any issue before our call. I will do trial run once again and will get back to you in case the issue reoccurs. Thanks again for taking the time and setting this call from your side to hear my issue.
Take care.

I'm having the same Issue on Powerapps Version 3.20111.52, I'm populating a dropdown list from a SQL data Source. Here's the fomula that I'm using:

Shuffle(Filter('[dbo].[TableName]'; ColumnName=_variable And OtherColumn="value"))

_variable is set on the OnVisible Event of the screen, like this:

UpdateContext({_variable: "otherValue"})

I have tried with disable the Explicit Column Selection, but it doesn't work. Have you any idea of how can I fix this?

in my case the dropdown source was from a table with a field with the same name as the table name

ej:

table: doctor

fields: id, doctor

when select the doctor field, in the published app it shows "transparent" values

i solved it by changing the name of th field. to doctor name
