We’re continuing to dig into the data in LinkedIn's Economic Graph to understand the real-time impact #COVID19 is having on the workforce. Today, we’re sharing new insights from this work. (1) When we look at jobs, we’re seeing a surge in demand for roles on the frontlines that are helping us navigate this pandemic and are critical to supporting the rapidly-changing healthcare and infrastructure needs of the country. This includes Registered Nurses, Store Associates, and Delivery Drivers. The full list is here: https://lnkd.in/g4PbPb5 (2) Demand for healthcare workers seems to be following the virus around the country, with the highest demand currently in San Francisco, Boston, and New York City. We anticipate hiring will accelerate for many specialized medical industries as the virus continues to spread, including in medical devices, biotechnology, even mental healthcare as individuals cope with change. George Anders shares how healthcare is navigating #hiring through the crisis here: https://lnkd.in/gwJsuFq Are you seeing any shifts in hiring in your industry? I’d love to hear about it in the comments. #LinkedInEconomicGraph

Linkedin wont be able to see that posting ads is drying up quickly and other groups Facebook , etc are laying off because corporations are not advertising and they see it but cant accept it until it is too late. Linkedin is a technology company that will always be the last to catch on. Maybe like the awkward windows 10!!

WA DOH - due to letter limit cropped words-The Department of Health is supporting enrollment and activation of emergency volunteer health practitioners for the COVID-19 response. The department can do this under the authority of the Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioner Act (Chapter 70.15 RCW). Under RCW 70.15.050, while an emergency proclamation of the Governor is in effect, a volunteer health practitioner who is licensed in another state may practice in Washington without obtaining a Washington license if he or she is in good standing in all states of licensure and is registered in the volunteer health practitioner system. These emergency volunteers will help meet emerging demands for health practitioners in areas impacted by COVID-19. The first step for a volunteer to register is to complete the Application . After that, the volunteer will be entered into a database of approved emergency volunteer health practitioners. The Washington State Department of Health will activate approved volunteers as needs arise while an emergency proclamation is in effect. RCW 70.15.030 Volunteers should also consider registering w/ local Medical Reserve Corps.

Don't forget the thousands of nurses laid off or flexed off due to cancelation of elective procedures. For the moment there are probably more nurses and ancillary staff off due to COVID19 than three are people infected.
