When you were a kid, did you ever dream of having a #Doraemon like Nobita Nobi did? Doraemon always had some gadgets or tools that could solve Nobita's problems, making his life much easier. In fact, we can all have our own Doraemon in our real life now, that’s #Copilot! We had a wonderful #FamilyDay at our Microsoft Hong Kong office yesterday! It was nice to see so many folks bring their kids to work and have a day of fun and learn with some magic shows and games, and let the kids see and explore their parents' innovative workplace! One of the highlights of the day was some hands-on experience of #AI for the kids, some simple examples of #MicrosoftDesigner and Copilot showed how AI can be a useful tool for creativity and problem-solving. It's never too early to expose our kids to AI, but more importantly, we need to teach them about #AIliteracy, and how to use it wisely and properly. We should not over-rely on the tools and lose our own #criticalthinking and #problemsolving skill, as well as the mindset to learn. As a Copilot company, our mission at Microsoft is to offer a daily #AIcompanion to every person and organization to achieve more. Just like empowering you with your own Doraemon to help you work productively and efficiently. It was great to see you all at the Family Day 2024. It was a privilege to join the meaningful #IWD event hosted by Citi with other female industry leaders Yvonne Leung and Bianca Ho to share an inspiring conversation about Success and Leadership in an AI Future with the young talents and celebrate International Women’s Day with them. At the event, we discussed how #AI impacts the business world nowadays. AI is here, and it is changing the way we work. It is important for everyone of us from all walks of life to learn new skills to keep up with the AI era. According to one of the Microsoft #WorkTrendIndex reports, 88% of leaders in Hong Kong recognize the need for new skills among employees they hire to prepare for the growth of AI, underscoring the need to develop an ‘AI mindset’, and the critical skills that are required include #EmotionalIntelligence, #AnalyticalJudgement, #BiasDetection, and more. Actually, there are many online courses out there for you to be equipped with AI skillsets, like #LinkedInLearning, I would encourage you to keep on #upskilling and #learning the skills that are relevant to today’s age, and to unlock any possibilities in the future. I had the pleasure of participating in an inspirational panel discussion last week with Dr. Juergen Rahmel, MBA, Jimmy SH Chung and Prof. Yi Yang, thanks to the invitation from Prof. Kar Yan Tam HKUST Business School. The discussion was centered around the topic of “The Impact and Opportunities of Generative AI for Finance and Investment.” As we all know, generative AI is strongly affecting all professions and industries in today’s age, and it has become that powerful because of its #interface, #reasoning, and #pretraineddata. When I talked to our customers in the finance service industry, they have three common challenges to adopt AI solutions: 1. rapid innovation to generate revenue, 2. regulatory compliances, and 3. lack of talent with in-demand digital skills. Therefore, it is essential for leaders from financial institutions or even all other enterprises to recognize and prioritize the value of AI. We encourage every organization to empower their employees with AI companion services, such as #Copilot, which can enhance #ROI by improving productivity, quality of work, and collaboration within the organization.  AI is a journey that requires learning, growth, and continuous improvement.
