If you're an eligible LinkedIn Live Video broadcaster and are having trouble setting up or live streaming, try the following troubleshooting recommendations:
-
Check Your Permissions: LinkedIn Live Video broadcasting is only available to members who meet the access criteria to create and host LinkedIn Lives. Tigger a review of your Page or Profile to check if you fulfill the criteria. If you're encountering error messages on your broadcast tool, check the following:
- For LinkedIn Pages, only the Page admins can stream on behalf of the Page. Page Admins cannot stream from their personal profile.
- Access for Pages and personal profile are separate, so try to authenticate for each profile and Page(s).
- If you have broadcasted before but not recently, you may need to disconnect from LinkedIn on your broadcast tool and reconnect to refresh your authentication token with the tool.
-
Check for firewalls or server errors: Talk to your network administrator to confirm the following ports are open:
- TCP port 1935 + 1936
- TCP port 2935 + 2936
-
Check for issues with third-party broadcasting tool: Please reach out directly to the third-party streaming company you use:
