LinkedIn has removed all previously submitted member salary information. If you previously privately submitted salary information, no action is needed, this data will be removed.
Any salary data you submit to LinkedIn will remain private and isn’t viewable by anyone else. It won't be added to your LinkedIn profile or displayed in any way.
Your salary data will be used to deliver salary insights in relation to factors such as title, company, region, and skills. It'll also be used to provide additional features and recommendations based on your personal salary.
Recruiters also won't be able to see your personal salary data. Any salary information that you submit to LinkedIn will remain private. Salary data will only be viewable by Recruiters as part of aggregations to compile overall insights.
When you submit salary data, your input is encrypted. This helps us ensure that your information is stored securely and remains protected.
Important: On October 9, 2017, we made a change causing salary submissions to be associated with individual member accounts. For salary submissions made prior to this change, you won't be able to delete your submission from member settings.
