General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Learning FAQ

Last updated: 4 months ago

GDPR is a comprehensive European data protection law that provides greater data rights for individuals, including LinkedIn members. As always, we take a members-first approach in the way we build products and work with our partners and customers. We've been working to bring our products and services into compliance with the GDPR and have updated our customer agreements to reflect GDPR requirements. The following features are examples available for LinkedIn Learning Solutions products:

  • Export of data: As a customer, you can export your enterprise data at the individual seat- holder or the contract level. The export process does not delete data. You need to file a separate request for data deletion as described below.
  • Deletion of data: Deletion of relevant user data is available for entire contracts or on a by-seat basis. Users on a group contract must submit their deletion of data request to their master administrator, who can then communicate the request to LinkedIn.
  • Requests from learners and administrators: Master administrators are able to request export or deletion of personal data for their users via the request process addressed below. Users on a group contract must submit their deletion or export requests of data to their master administrator, who can then communicate the request to LinkedIn as described in the below FAQ.
