To address this challenge, most recruiting teams have built a sourcing strategy to fulfill the organization’s defined hiring needs—a Needs-Driven Sourcing Strategy. Yet in the wake of changing labor market dynamics, the best organizations set sourcing strategy that adapts to external labor market realities as well. Organizations that adopt a Market-Driven Sourcing Strategy achieve 20% fewer critical roles open after 5 month compared those that take a needs-driven sourcing approach.

  • Accelerating Recruiting: Achieving Quality At Speed

    CEB

Compared to 2010, it now takes four additional weeks to fill the average vacancy. This slow down increases the risk of losing talent to competitors and costs an average of $8.55M per 1,000 vacancies through lost productivity and additional recruiting work. The best organizations shift from just enabling hiring teams to cope with complexity to streamlining the hiring workflow.

  • Branding For Influence

    CEB

Applicant volume has risen by 33% in the last three years, but applicant quality remains low. To overcome this, organizations must shift from branding for appeal (promoting the organization as a great place to work) to branding for influence (giving applicants trusted guidance to make better decisions about whether to apply).

The team’s work has helped C-suite leaders prepare their hybrid work strategies and helped HR leaders successfully argue for greater flexibility for employees. We have reframed thinking about how to communicate the message -- shifting from a focus on who goes back, when and how often to articulating the true “job of the office” in a hybrid work environment.
