Supporting nonprofits and IGOs during COVID-19

In response to COVID-19, Microsoft has recently committed to its hourly workers livelihoods and the unmet economic needs developing locally in our Puget Sound backyard. We also recognize the vital role that technology plays in supporting people and organizations each day. With COVID-19 continuing to impact people and countries around the world, organizations everywhere are moving to remote work. We’re seeing the impacts of this changing work environment particularly with nonprofit and international organizations like the United Nations who are on the frontlines providing critical support to their local communities.

It is critical for the lifeblood of nonprofits—employees and volunteers—to be connected seamlessly.

Microsoft Teams is a unified communication and collaboration platform that combines workplace chat, video meetings, file storage, and can help employees and volunteers stay connected. Teams is a part of Office 365. If your nonprofit organization is licensed for Office 365, you already have it. Microsoft Tech for Social Impact currently has several donated and paid offers available to empower eligible nonprofits of all sizes, including Office 365 Business Essentials, Microsoft 365 Business, and Office 365 E1 for larger organizations.

Today we are now offering Office 365 E1 for 6 months for nonprofit volunteers. Office 365 E1 includes Teams as well as email, file storage and more. This offer is designed for organizations who need a seamless option for volunteers working in remote situations in the face of COVID-19. After six months, the seats will end and the nonprofit can choose to move the volunteer to a paid seat on Office 365 E1 or Office 365 F1.

Contact your Microsoft partner or sales representative to get started with these offers today. If you do not have a Microsoft partner or sales representative, contact TSITeamsForAll@microsoft.com  and we will help you get started. Nonprofits must register with Microsoft to determine eligibility for nonprofit offers.

We’re incredibly grateful for the work nonprofits are doing to drive mission impact every day during this tumultuous time.

Hi Guys, This is amazing but we have been having issues securing NFP with Tech Soup. Horton Housing Association is not what is called “General Needs Housing”, one service of Horton Housing is based around “Supported Accommodation”, we are a not for profit business with a charitable status, every resident we house is supported due to their needs. We support people who are homeless, have mental health problems, have drug or alcohol issues, young people, older people, refugees, Gypsies, Travellers, Roma and Showpeople, people with disabilities and ex-offenders.   The above is only a snippet of what we do, to help the some of the most vulnerable and in need people in our community. We also have many social care services which makes up the majority of our business, our members of staff go to our clients homes to help them work through any problems to improve their lives.   I hope you can help? I have also sent an email to the address included in the article. Thank you Mark Spencer Horton Housing - "Improving lives together"

We already have 10 free licences for our NFP in the UK and I got the impression that we could have more for 6 months to get us through this time. Our Microsoft partner raised a ticket and had a call back from your support team but they said any extra ones had to be paid for. Could you clarify please?
